Rocgel 1.2g Antacid 1.2g

Indication

Rocgel is an antacid gel used for the symptomatic relief of heartburn, gastric hyperacidity, peptic ulcer pain, and dyspepsia.

Ingredients

• Algeldrate (Aluminium hydroxide) 500 mg
• Magnesium hydroxide 100 mg per sachet/dose (typical Rocgel composition — 1.2 g total antacid)

Direction

Adults: Take 1 sachet (1.2 g) or equivalent gel dose 30–60 minutes after meals and at bedtime, 3–4 times daily, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Constipation (aluminium).
• Diarrhoea (magnesium).
• Nausea.
• Chalky taste.

Precautions

• Use with caution in renal impairment (aluminium/magnesium accumulation risk).
• Do not take other medications within 2 hours (antacids may reduce absorption).
• Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.
• Keep out of reach of children.
