Bedelix 3g Beidellitic montmorillonite 3g

Indication

Bedelix 3 g is a gastrointestinal adsorbent used for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea in adults and children, and for the relief of pain associated with functional digestive disorders (oesophageal and gastroduodenal disease).

Ingredients

• Beidellitic montmorillonite (diosmectite) 3 g per sachet

Direction

Adults: 3 sachets per day (1 sachet dissolved in 50 ml of water, three times daily), or as directed by a physician. Children under 1 year: 1 sachet/day; 1–2 years: 1–2 sachets/day; over 2 years: 2–3 sachets/day.

Side effects

• Constipation (dose
• related).
• Nausea (rare).

Precautions

• Do not take with other medications simultaneously
• take at least 2 hours apart (may impair absorption).
• Maintain adequate hydration
• especially in infants with diarrhoea.
• Do not use for treatment of chronic diarrhoea without identifying the underlying cause.
• Keep out of reach of children.
