Lubixten Bilastine 20mg

Indication

Lubixten (bilastine 20 mg) is a second-generation, non-sedating antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and urticaria (hives), including sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy/watery eyes, and skin itching.

Ingredients

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: Take one 20 mg tablet once daily on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal or fruit juice. Do not take with food as absorption is significantly reduced.

Side effects

• Drowsiness (minimal — non
• sedating at therapeutic doses)
• Fatigue
• Nausea (rare)

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to bilastine or any excipients.
• Take on an empty stomach — food and fruit juice markedly reduce bioavailability.
• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment.
• Avoid grapefruit juice
• erythromycin
• and ketoconazole (P
• gp inhibitors) as they increase bilastine levels.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Not recommended in children under 12 years.
• Keep out of reach of children.
