Indication
CTZ Tab (cetirizine 10 mg) is a second-generation antihistamine used for symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives), including sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, and skin itching.
Ingredients
- Cetirizine hydrochloride 10 mg
Direction
Adults and children 12 years and over: Take one 10 mg tablet once daily, with or without food. Children 6–12 years: Take 5 mg (half tablet) twice daily or 10 mg once daily. Reduce dose in renal impairment as directed by physician.
Side effects
- Drowsiness
- Dry mouth
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Nausea (rare)
Precautions
- Do not use if allergic to cetirizine or hydroxyzine.
- May cause mild drowsiness — use caution when driving or operating machinery.
- Avoid alcohol.
- Dose adjustment required in severe renal impairment.
- Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Keep out of reach of children.
