Rocgel 1.2g

Indication

Rocgel (aluminium phosphate 1.2 g) is an antacid used for symptomatic relief of heartburn, acid regurgitation, and epigastric discomfort associated with gastritis, peptic ulcer, and gastroesophageal reflux. It coats the gastric mucosa and neutralises excess acid.

Ingredients

• Aluminium phosphate gel 1.2 g per sachet

Direction

Adults: Take one sachet (1.2 g) orally 3–4 times daily, 1–2 hours after meals and at bedtime. Dilute in a little water or take directly from the sachet. Children: Use only on medical advice.

Side effects

• Constipation
• Nausea (rare)

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment — risk of aluminium accumulation with long
• term use.
• May reduce absorption of other drugs — separate administration by at least 2 hours.
• Prolonged unsupervised use is not recommended.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks.
• Keep out of reach of children.
