Cetirizine 2 10mg

Indication

Cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine used for the symptomatic relief of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and other allergic skin conditions.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine hydrochloride 10 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mg once daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 mg twice daily or 10 mg once daily. Children 2–6 years: 2.5 mg twice daily. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• fatigue (common).
• Dry mouth
• headache.
• Dizziness (uncommon).
• Gastrointestinal discomfort: nausea
• diarrhea (uncommon).
• Rarely: allergic reactions including angioedema.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment (reduce dose).
• May cause mild sedation
• caution when driving or operating machinery.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
