Indication
Calcium Corbiere Extra is a nutritional supplement used to prevent and treat calcium and Vitamin D deficiencies, and to support bone health. It is indicated in osteoporosis prevention, convalescing patients, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and the elderly.
Ingredients
- Calcium gluconate 1094 mg (equivalent to Calcium 100 mg)
- Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) 200 IU
- Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) 500 mg
Direction
Adults: 1–2 ampoules daily, diluted in water or juice, or as directed by a physician. Children: as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal discomfort: nausea
- constipation.
- Hypercalcaemia with excessive doses.
- Allergic reactions (rare).
Precautions
- Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia (excess blood calcium) or hypercalciuria.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment or history of renal stones.
- May interact with tetracycline antibiotics and fluoroquinolones
- separate doses by at least 2 hours.
- Excessive Vitamin D intake can cause toxicity.
- Keep out of reach of children.
