Gold Peffize Papain, Alpha-amylase, Simethicone

Indication

Gold Peffize is a digestive enzyme preparation with antifoaming properties, indicated for symptomatic relief of digestive complaints including bloating, flatulence, dyspepsia, and conditions of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Papain and amylase aid protein and carbohydrate digestion; simethicone reduces gas accumulation.

Direction

Adults: take as directed on packaging, typically 1–2 tablets with or after meals, 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated.
• Rarely: allergic reactions in patients sensitive to papain.
• Gastrointestinal discomfort (uncommon).

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to papain or any component.
