Relax Tab Sodium Picosulfate Hydrate 7.5mg

Indication

Relax Tab is a stimulant laxative used for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation and for bowel evacuation before bowel examination or surgical procedures.

Ingredients

• Sodium picosulfate hydrate 7.5 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 10 years: 1 tablet (7.5 mg) at bedtime. Bowel preparation: as directed by a physician. Children 4–10 years: 2.5–5 mg as directed by a physician. Swallow whole with a glass of water.

Side effects

• Abdominal cramps or discomfort.
• Diarrhea (dose
• dependent).
• Nausea.
• Electrolyte disturbances (with prolonged use or high doses).
• Rarely: allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in intestinal obstruction
• severe dehydration
• inflammatory bowel disease (acute phase)
• and abdominal pain of unknown origin.
• Not for long
• term use — may cause laxative dependence and electrolyte imbalance.
• Use with caution in renal impairment.
• Not recommended during pregnancy without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
