Amlo-Denk 5 Amlodipine 5mg

Indication

Amlo-Denk 5 is a calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine class) indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and stable angina pectoris.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besilate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg

Direction

Adults: 5 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg once daily if needed, based on response. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling) — common.
• Flushing
• headache
• dizziness.
• Palpitations
• fatigue.
• Nausea
• abdominal pain (uncommon).
• Rarely: gingival hyperplasia
• allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Use with caution in severe aortic stenosis or hepatic impairment.
• May cause peripheral oedema.
• Monitor blood pressure regularly.
• Use with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Do not abruptly stop therapy in angina patients without physician guidance.
• Keep out of reach of children.
