Panadol 500 mg

Indication

For the relief of mild to moderate pain including headache, migraine, toothache, sore throat, backache, period pain, and for reduction of fever.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: 1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 8 tablets (4 g) in 24 hours. Do not use for more than 3 days for fever or 5 days for pain without medical advice.

Side effects

• Rarely: skin rash
• urticaria
• or allergic reactions.
• Very rarely: serious skin reactions (Stevens
• Johnson syndrome
• toxic epidermal necrolysis).
• Hepatotoxicity may occur in overdose.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the stated dose.
• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Avoid in patients with severe hepatic impairment or active liver disease.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment
• chronic alcohol use
• or malnutrition.
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Overdose can cause serious liver damage — seek emergency medical attention immediately if overdose is suspected.
