AMLOCOR-10 Amlodipine Besilate 10mg

Indication

AMLOCOR-10 is a calcium channel blocker used for the treatment of hypertension and the prophylaxis of chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina in patients requiring the higher dose.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besilate equivalent to Amlodipine 10 mg

Direction

Adults: 10 mg once daily as directed by a doctor. Take at the same time each day, with or without food.

Side effects

• Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling) — more frequent at 10 mg.
• Headache.
• Flushing.
• Dizziness.
• Fatigue.
• Nausea.
• Palpitations.

Precautions

• Do not stop without medical advice.
• Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment.
• Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice.
• The 10 mg dose carries higher risk of peripheral oedema.
• Consult a doctor during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Monitor blood pressure regularly.
• Keep out of reach of children.
