ANTADYS Flurbiprofen 100mg

Indication

A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with dysmenorrhoea (painful periods), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Ingredients

• Flurbiprofen 100 mg

Direction

Adults: 100 mg two to three times daily with food or milk. For dysmenorrhoea, start at the onset of pain. Do not exceed 300 mg per day. Not recommended for children.

Side effects

• Nausea
• dyspepsia
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea.
• Gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Fluid retention
• oedema.
• Elevated blood pressure.
• Skin rash.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer
• gastrointestinal bleeding
• or severe renal
• hepatic
• or cardiac impairment.
• Contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
• Avoid in patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or other NSAIDs.
• Use with caution in elderly patients and those with a history of cardiovascular disease.
• May increase risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.
• Not recommended during breastfeeding.
