TERPINE Terpine hydrate 100mg + Dextromethorphan 5mg

Indication

A combination cough preparation used to relieve productive and non-productive cough. Terpine hydrate acts as an expectorant to loosen mucus, while dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex.

Ingredients

• Terpine hydrate 100 mg
• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 5 mg

Direction

Adults: 1–2 tablets three times daily. Children 6–12 years: 1 tablet two to three times daily under medical supervision. Take with a glass of water after meals.

• gastrointestinal discomfort.
• Rarely: allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Do not use in patients taking MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping MAOIs.
• Avoid in patients with respiratory depression or severe asthma.
• Do not use in children under 6 years without medical advice.
• Dextromethorphan may cause dependence with prolonged high
• dose use.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Avoid concomitant use with alcohol or other CNS depressants.
