Anofen 400 Ibuprofen 400mg

Indication

A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the relief of mild to moderate pain, fever, and inflammation including headache, dental pain, menstrual pain, muscular and joint pain, and symptoms of cold and flu.

Ingredients

• Ibuprofen 400 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 400 mg every 6–8 hours with food or milk. Maximum 1200 mg per day (OTC). Do not exceed 2400 mg per day under medical supervision. Take with a full glass of water.

Side effects

• Nausea
• dyspepsia
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea
• constipation.
• Gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Fluid retention
• oedema.
• Elevated blood pressure.
• Rarely: renal impairment
• hepatic effects
• severe allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer
• gastrointestinal bleeding
• or severe renal
• hepatic
• or cardiac impairment.
• Contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
• Avoid if hypersensitive to aspirin or other NSAIDs.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.
• May increase the risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events with prolonged use.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years without medical advice.
