Primodil 5 Amlodipine Besylate USP 5mg

Indication

A calcium channel blocker used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain).

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besylate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg

Direction

Adults: 5 mg once daily. May be increased to 10 mg once daily as directed by a physician. Take at the same time each day with or without food.

Side effects

• Ankle oedema
• flushing.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Fatigue
• palpitations.
• Nausea.
• Rarely: severe hypotension.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with severe hypotension or obstructive outflow obstruction.
• Contraindicated in cardiogenic shock.
• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
• Do not stop taking without consulting your doctor.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Use with caution in elderly patients.
