Telfast 120mg Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 120mg

Indication

A non-sedating second-generation antihistamine used for the symptomatic relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), including runny nose, sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, and itching of the nose and throat.

Ingredients

• Fexofenadine hydrochloride 120 mg

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: 120 mg once daily taken before a meal. For urticaria (hives): 180 mg once daily.

Side effects

• Headache.
• Nausea
• dizziness.
• Drowsiness (uncommon at recommended doses).
• Rarely: allergic reactions including rash
• urticaria
• angioedema.

Precautions

• Avoid taking with grapefruit juice
• apple juice
• or orange juice
• as these may reduce absorption.
• Avoid taking with antacids containing aluminium or magnesium hydroxide.
• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment.
• Generally non
• sedating
• but caution is advised when driving if sedation occurs.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
