Indication
Antiseptic lozenges used for the symptomatic relief of sore throat and mouth infections. Cetylpyridinium has antiseptic properties and lysozyme has antibacterial activity.
Ingredients
- Cetylpyridinium chloride (strength not confirmed per standard references)
- Lysozyme (strength not confirmed per standard references)
Direction
Adults and children over 6 years: dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2–3 hours. Maximum 8 lozenges per day.
Side effects
- Generally well tolerated.
- Mild local irritation.
- Rarely: allergic reactions in egg
- allergic individuals.
Precautions
- Not recommended for children under 6 years.
- Consult a doctor if sore throat is severe or if symptoms persist beyond 7 days.
- Contains lysozyme derived from egg protein
- avoid in patients with egg allergy.
- Keep out of reach of children.
