Indication

Antiseptic lozenges used for the symptomatic relief of sore throat and mouth infections. Cetylpyridinium has antiseptic properties and lysozyme has antibacterial activity.

Ingredients

• Cetylpyridinium chloride (strength not confirmed per standard references)

Direction

Adults and children over 6 years: dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2–3 hours. Maximum 8 lozenges per day.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated.
• Mild local irritation.
• Rarely: allergic reactions in egg
• allergic individuals.

Precautions

• Not recommended for children under 6 years.
• Consult a doctor if sore throat is severe or if symptoms persist beyond 7 days.
