HI-DINE 20ml Povidone Iodine Solution 10%

Indication

A topical antiseptic solution used to disinfect skin wounds, cuts, abrasions, and for pre- and post-operative skin preparation. Also used to prevent and treat minor skin infections.

Ingredients

• Povidone
• iodine 10% (equivalent to 1% available iodine)

Direction

Apply directly to the affected area 1–3 times daily. Allow to dry. For wound cleansing: apply with a swab or gauze. For skin preparation: apply and allow to act for 2 minutes before wiping off. Do not bandage tightly after application.

Side effects

• Skin staining (yellow
• brown).
• Local irritation or burning sensation.
• Allergic reactions (rare).
• Thyroid dysfunction with excessive or prolonged use.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use in patients with known iodine hypersensitivity or thyroid disorders without medical advice.
• Do not use over large body areas for prolonged periods due to risk of systemic iodine absorption.
• Use with caution in neonates and infants.
• Do not use in the ear canal.
• May stain skin and fabrics.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
