No Drip Nasal Spray Oxymetazoline HCl 0.05% Nasal Decongestant 15ml

Indication

A nasal decongestant used for the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever, sinusitis, and other upper respiratory allergies.

Ingredients

• Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.05% (0.5 mg/ml)

Direction

Adults and children 6 years and over: 2–3 sprays into each nostril twice daily (morning and night). Do not use for more than 3–5 consecutive days to avoid rebound congestion (rhinitis medicamentosa).

Side effects

• Burning
• stinging
• or dryness of nasal mucosa.
• Rebound congestion (rhinitis medicamentosa) with overuse.
• Headache.
• Rarely: palpitations
• elevated blood pressure
• insomnia.

Precautions

• Do not use for more than 3–5 consecutive days.
• Not recommended for children under 6 years.
• Use with caution in patients with hypertension
• cardiac disease
• hyperthyroidism
• diabetes
• or enlarged prostate.
• Avoid use with MAO inhibitors.
• Do not share nasal spray applicators.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
