Vitamine C 500mg EPHAC Ascorbic Acid 500mg

Indication

Used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency (scurvy) and as a dietary supplement to support immune function, wound healing, and antioxidant protection.

Ingredients

• Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) 500 mg

Direction

Adults: 500 mg once or twice daily. For deficiency treatment: as directed by a physician. Take after meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal discomfort
• nausea
• diarrhoea at high doses.
• Kidney stones (oxalate calculi) with chronic high
• dose use.
• Headache with very high doses.

Precautions

• Do not exceed 2000 mg per day (tolerable upper intake level for adults).
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment or a history of kidney stones (high doses may precipitate oxalate stones).
• Use with caution in patients with haemochromatosis or other iron overload conditions.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy (daily requirement is 85 mg).
• Keep out of reach of children.
