Mentopas Menthol Plaster with Methylsalicylate Pain Relief

Indication

A topical analgesic plaster (pain relief patch) used for the temporary relief of minor muscle aches, joint pain, back pain, and sports injuries through a counter-irritant effect.

Ingredients

• Menthol (concentration varies)
• Methyl salicylate (concentration varies)

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: apply one plaster to the affected area. Leave in place for up to 8–12 hours. Remove and replace as needed. Do not use more than 3–4 plasters per day on the same area.

Side effects

• Local skin irritation
• redness
• or burning sensation.
• Allergic contact dermatitis (rare).
• Salicylate toxicity is possible with extensive application
• especially in children.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.
• Do not apply to broken
• irritated
• or inflamed skin.
• Do not bandage tightly after application.
• Avoid excessive heat on the treated area (e.g.
• heating pads
• hot water bottles).
• Not recommended for children under 12 years without medical advice.
• Use with caution in patients with salicylate sensitivity.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
