BRIDOXIM DT Cefpodoxime Dispersible Tablets 200mg

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and gonorrhoea.

Ingredients

• Cefpodoxime proxetil 200mg

Direction

Adults: 200mg twice daily with food, for 7–14 days depending on infection type. Children: dose by weight as directed by physician. Disperse tablet in water before taking.

Side effects

• Diarrhea
• nausea
• vomiting
• abdominal pain.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Skin rash
• urticaria.
• Rare: severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment (dose adjustment may be required).
• Complete the full course of treatment.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
