LEXOPAM 6 Bromazepam 6mg

Indication

Short-term treatment of anxiety disorders, situational anxiety, and tension. Also used as a pre-operative anxiolytic.

Ingredients

• Bromazepam 6mg

Direction

Adults: 1.5–6mg three times daily, or as prescribed by a physician. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Not to be used for more than 4 weeks without reassessment.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• sedation
• fatigue.
• Dizziness
• unsteadiness
• poor coordination.
• Memory impairment.
• Paradoxical reactions (agitation
• aggression) in some patients.
• Dependence with prolonged use.

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with respiratory insufficiency
• sleep apnoea
• or severe liver impairment.
• Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants during treatment.
• Risk of dependence and withdrawal symptoms with prolonged use.
• Do not stop abruptly after prolonged use.
• Contraindicated in pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• and in patients with a history of substance abuse.
• Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine.
• Keep out of reach of children.
