Clamoxyl Amoxicillin 250mg

Indication

Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections (tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media, pneumonia), urinary tract infections, and skin/soft tissue infections.

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin trihydrate 250mg (equivalent to amoxicillin 250mg)

Direction

Adults: 250–500mg three times daily. Children: dose by weight (25mg/kg/day in divided doses). Take with or without food.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea
• nausea
• vomiting.
• Skin rash
• urticaria.
• Rare: severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).
• Antibiotic
• associated diarrhoea (Clostridium difficile).

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to penicillin or other beta
• lactam antibiotics.
• Complete the full course of treatment.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
