Roxigin 150 Roxithromycin tablets 150mg

Indication

Treatment of mild to moderate bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urogenital infections, and ENT infections.

Ingredients

• Roxithromycin 150mg

Direction

Adults: 150mg twice daily or 300mg once daily, taken 15 minutes before meals. Course duration: 5–10 days depending on infection type.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal disturbances: nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Skin rash.
• Rare: hepatotoxicity
• QT prolongation.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to macrolide antibiotics.
• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
• May interact with ergot alkaloids
• theophylline
• and anticoagulants.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Complete the full prescribed course.
• Keep out of reach of children.
