Indication
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable or vasospastic angina pectoris.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine besylate equivalent to amlodipine 5mg
Direction
Adults: 5mg once daily. May be increased to 10mg once daily based on response. Take at the same time each day, with or without food.
Side effects
- Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling).
- Flushing
- headache
- dizziness.
- Palpitations.
- Nausea.
- Fatigue.
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment (start at 2.5mg).
- May cause ankle oedema.
- Do not stop medication abruptly.
- Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Keep out of reach of children.
