Primodi 5 Amlodipine Besylate Comprimes USP 5mg

Indication

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable or vasospastic angina pectoris.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besylate equivalent to amlodipine 5mg

Direction

Adults: 5mg once daily. May be increased to 10mg once daily based on response. Take at the same time each day, with or without food.

Side effects

• Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling).
• Flushing
• headache
• dizziness.
• Palpitations.
• Nausea.
• Fatigue.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment (start at 2.5mg).
• May cause ankle oedema.
• Do not stop medication abruptly.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
