Indication
Treatment and prevention of Vitamin C deficiency (scurvy). Supports immune function, wound healing, and antioxidant activity.
Ingredients
- Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) 500mg
Direction
Adults: 1 tablet daily with water. For treatment of deficiency: up to 1g per day as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea
- diarrhoea) with high doses.
- Rare: kidney stones (oxalate) with prolonged high
- dose use.
Precautions
- High doses may cause kidney stones in susceptible individuals.
- Use with caution in patients with glucose
- 6
- phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.
- Excessive intake may cause diarrhoea.
- Keep out of reach of children.
