Indication
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and prophylaxis of stable angina pectoris.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine 10mg
Direction
Take 1 tablet once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling)
- Flushing
- Headache and dizziness
- Fatigue
- Palpitations
- Rarely: gingival hyperplasia
Precautions
- Monitor blood pressure regularly.
- Use with caution in patients with severe aortic stenosis or heart failure.
- May cause excessive hypotension in elderly patients.
- Do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
- Use with caution in hepatic impairment.
