Indication
Treatment of functional dyspepsia and gastrointestinal symptoms including fullness, bloating, nausea, and epigastric pain caused by gastric motility disorders.
Ingredients
- Itopride hydrochloride 50mg
Direction
Take 1 tablet (50mg) three times daily before meals, or as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Diarrhoea or constipation
- Abdominal pain
- Headache
- Hyperprolactinaemia (elevated prolactin)
- Rarely: leucopenia
Precautions
- Use with caution in elderly patients.
- May prolong QT interval — use caution in patients with cardiac conditions.
- Not recommended in children without medical advice.
- May interact with anticholinergic drugs.
