Selio 200mg/5ml

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, sinusitis, otitis media, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and Lyme disease.

Ingredients

• Cefuroxime axetil 200mg per 5ml

Direction

Shake suspension well before use. Administer the prescribed dose twice daily (every 12 hours) with food to improve absorption. Continue for the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• Nausea and vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Abdominal pain
• Rash
• Rarely: Clostridioides difficile
• associated diarrhoea

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with known allergy to cephalosporins or penicillins (cross
• sensitivity possible).
• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
• Monitor for signs of superinfection during prolonged therapy.
