Indication
Eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination therapy, for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease and H. pylori-positive gastritis.
Ingredients
- Lansoprazole 30mg
- Amoxicillin 1000mg
- Clarithromycin 500mg
Direction
Take as directed by a physician, typically twice daily for 7–14 days. Take before meals. Complete the full course.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Metallic or bitter taste
- Abdominal discomfort
- Headache
- Rarely: Clostridioides difficile colitis
Precautions
- Do not use in patients allergic to penicillin or macrolide antibiotics.
- Clarithromycin may interact with many drugs — check for interactions.
- Monitor for signs of antibiotic
- associated diarrhoea.
- Not recommended in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
