Indication

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on either agent alone.

Ingredients

• Telmisartan 40mg
• Amlodipine 5mg

Direction

Take 1 tablet once daily, with or without food. Swallow whole with water.

Side effects

• Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling)
• Dizziness and headache
• Flushing
• Upper respiratory tract infection
• Hypotension
• Rarely: angioedema

Precautions

• Contraindicated in pregnancy — causes fetal injury or death.
• Do not use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes or renal impairment.
• Monitor renal function
• electrolytes
• and blood pressure regularly.
• Use with caution in hepatic impairment.
• May cause peripheral oedema.
