Lansoprazole 30 mg

Indication

Treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), peptic ulcer disease, H. pylori eradication (in combination), and hypersecretory conditions including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Ingredients

• Lansoprazole 30mg

Direction

Take 1 capsule (30mg) once daily before a meal, preferably in the morning. Swallow whole — do not crush or chew. Treatment duration as directed by physician.

Side effects

• Headache
• Diarrhoea
• Nausea
• Abdominal pain
• Hypomagnesaemia with prolonged use

Precautions

• Long
• term use may reduce magnesium and vitamin B12 levels.
• May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy.
• Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment.
• May reduce absorption of drugs dependent on gastric pH (e.g.
• ketoconazole
• atazanavir).
• Not recommended in children unless specifically prescribed.
