GOFEN 400 clearcap 400mg

Indication

Relief of mild to moderate pain including headache, dental pain, dysmenorrhoea, and musculoskeletal pain. Also for reduction of fever.

Ingredients

• Ibuprofen 400mg

Direction

Take 1 capsule (400mg) every 6–8 hours as needed, with food or milk to reduce stomach irritation. Do not exceed 1200mg per day (OTC) or 2400mg per day (prescribed).

Side effects

• Nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort
• Dyspepsia
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Rarely: peptic ulceration
• renal impairment
• hypersensitivity reactions

Precautions

• Avoid in patients with active peptic ulcer
• severe heart failure
• or known allergy to NSAIDs or aspirin.
• Use with caution in elderly
• asthma
• renal or hepatic impairment.
• Avoid prolonged use without medical supervision.
• May increase risk of cardiovascular events with long
• term use.
• Take with food or milk to minimise gastrointestinal side effects.
