Indication
Antiseptic and enzyme-based treatment for mouth and throat infections including pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and oral mucosal inflammation.
Ingredients
- Cetylpyridinium chloride 1.5mg
- Lysozyme 40mg (equivalent to 520
- 000 FIP units)
Direction
Adults and children over 6 years: dissolve 1 lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2–3 hours. Do not exceed 8 lozenges per day. Do not chew.
Side effects
- Generally well tolerated
- Rarely: mild oral irritation
- Rarely: hypersensitivity reactions
Precautions
- Not for use in children under 6 years.
- Consult a doctor if sore throat is severe or persists beyond 5–7 days.
- Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient.
- Contains sugars — caution in diabetic patients (check formulation).
