Omeprazole GPO 20mg

Indication

Treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), peptic ulcer disease, and H. pylori eradication (in combination therapy).

Ingredients

• Omeprazole 20mg

Direction

Take 1 capsule once daily, 30 minutes before a meal. Swallow whole — do not crush or chew. Treatment duration as directed by physician.

Side effects

• Headache
• Nausea and diarrhoea
• Abdominal pain
• Hypomagnesaemia with prolonged use

Precautions

• Long
• term use may reduce magnesium and vitamin B12 levels.
• May mask signs of gastric malignancy.
• Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment.
• May reduce absorption of drugs dependent on gastric pH.
