Indication
Prevention and treatment of diarrhea associated with antibiotic use, traveler's diarrhea, and restoration of intestinal microflora.
Ingredients
- Saccharomyces boulardii 250mg
Direction
Adults: Take 1–2 capsules (250mg each) twice daily. Children: 1 capsule twice daily or as directed by a physician. Best taken with water.
Side effects
- Flatulence
- Constipation (rare)
- Thirst (rare)
- Extremely rare: fungemia in critically ill or immunocompromised patients
Precautions
- Use with caution in immunocompromised patients.
- Do not take simultaneously with antifungal agents.
- Avoid taking with very hot liquids that may destroy live yeast.
- Consult a doctor during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
