Indication

Oral contraception. Prevention of pregnancy in women of childbearing age.

Ingredients

• Desogestrel 150mcg
• Ethinylestradiol 30mcg

Direction

Take 1 tablet orally daily at the same time each day for 28 consecutive days (21 active + 7 inactive tablets). Begin a new pack immediately after finishing the current pack.

Side effects

• Nausea
• Breast tenderness
• Headache
• Mood changes
• Irregular bleeding or spotting
• Decreased libido
• Rarely
• thromboembolism

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with a history of thromboembolism
• stroke
• cardiovascular disease
• or hormone
• sensitive cancers.
• Increases risk of venous thromboembolism
• risk is higher in smokers over 35.
• May interact with certain antibiotics
• anticonvulsants
• and other medications.
• Regular gynecological check
• ups are recommended.
• Not suitable for breastfeeding mothers in the early postpartum period.
