Indication
Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Also used in Helicobacter pylori eradication regimens.
Ingredients
- Esomeprazole magnesium 40mg
Direction
Take 1 tablet orally once daily, 30–60 minutes before meals. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Headache
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Flatulence
- Hypomagnesemia with long
- term use
Precautions
- Long
- term use may lower magnesium and vitamin B12 levels
- monitor periodically.
- Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
- May mask symptoms of gastric cancer.
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Monitor for Clostridioides difficile
- associated diarrhea with prolonged use.
