Indication

Treatment of intestinal parasitic infections including ascariasis (roundworm), enterobiasis (pinworm), trichuriasis (whipworm), hookworm infections, and mixed helminth infections.

Ingredients

• Mebendazole 500mg

Direction

Adults and children over 2 years: Take 500mg as a single dose for most helminth infections. For strongyloidiasis or mixed infections, follow physician guidance. Take with or without food.

Side effects

• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Flatulence
• Elevated liver enzymes with high doses or prolonged use

Precautions

• Not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy.
• Use with caution in children under 2 years.
• May interact with cimetidine
• metronidazole
• or anticonvulsants.
• Repeat treatment after 2–3 weeks if reinfection is possible.
