Indication
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable or vasospastic angina pectoris.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine 5mg (as amlodipine besilate)
Direction
Adults: Take 5mg orally once daily. Dose may be increased to a maximum of 10mg once daily as needed. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Peripheral edema (ankle swelling)
- Headache
- Flushing
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Nausea
- Palpitations
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
- May cause ankle swelling (peripheral edema).
- Use with caution in patients with severe aortic stenosis.
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Do not stop taking without physician guidance even if feeling well.
