TELPHA Amlodipine 5 Amlodipine Besilate BP Equivalent to Amlodipine 5mg

Indication

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable or vasospastic angina pectoris.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine 5mg (as amlodipine besilate)

Direction

Adults: Take 5mg orally once daily. Dose may be increased to a maximum of 10mg once daily as needed. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Peripheral edema (ankle swelling)
• Headache
• Flushing
• Dizziness
• Fatigue
• Nausea
• Palpitations

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
• May cause ankle swelling (peripheral edema).
• Use with caution in patients with severe aortic stenosis.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Do not stop taking without physician guidance even if feeling well.
