Indication

Konimag is an antacid and antiflatulent used to relieve symptoms of hyperacidity including heartburn, acid indigestion, upset stomach, and bloating/gas associated with these conditions.

Ingredients

• Magnesium Trisilicate 300 mg
• Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel 300 mg
• Simethicone 50 mg

Direction

Adults: Take 1–2 tablets 3–4 times daily, between meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician. Chew tablets thoroughly before swallowing. Children 6–12 years: Half the adult dose under medical supervision.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea (magnesium
• related).
• Constipation (aluminium
• related).
• Nausea.
• Chalky taste in mouth.

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with severe renal impairment (aluminium and magnesium accumulation risk).
• Prolonged use of high doses of magnesium
• containing antacids may cause hypermagnesaemia in patients with renal failure.
• May interfere with absorption of other medicines — take other medicines at least 2 hours apart.
• Avoid in patients with hypophosphataemia.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks.
• Keep out of reach of children.
