Indication

Tusin Syrup is a combination cold and cough remedy used to relieve cough and associated fever, headache, and body aches in adults. The paracetamol component relieves fever and pain; dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex.

Ingredients

• Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) 1000 mg / 30 ml (as syrup)
• Dextromethorphan HBr 50 mg / 30 ml (as syrup)

Direction

Adults: Take 30 ml every 6–8 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Use the measuring cup provided. Not recommended for children without medical advice.

Side effects

• Nausea or vomiting.
• Dizziness.
• Drowsiness.
• Constipation.
• Liver damage with paracetamol overdose.

Precautions

• Do not exceed recommended dose — paracetamol overdose may cause serious liver damage.
• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Do not use with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping MAO inhibitor therapy (risk of serotonin syndrome).
• Avoid in patients with chronic cough (due to asthma or chronic bronchitis) without medical advice.
• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease.
• Avoid alcohol while taking this product.
• Keep out of reach of children.
