Mucobrox Ambroxol 30mg 30mg

Indication

Mucobrox Ambroxol 30 mg contains ambroxol, a mucolytic expectorant used to treat acute and chronic respiratory diseases associated with abnormal mucus secretion and impaired mucus transport, including acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and COPD.

Ingredients

• Ambroxol HCl 30 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 30 mg three times daily initially; maintenance: 30 mg twice daily. Children 6–12 years: 15 mg two to three times daily. Children 2–6 years: 7.5 mg three times daily. Take with food. Drink adequate fluids to enhance mucolytic effect.

Side effects

• Nausea.
• Vomiting.
• Diarrhoea.
• Abdominal pain (rare).
• Skin rash (rare).
• Taste disturbance (rare).

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer disease.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 7 days or worsen.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy (especially first trimester) or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
