Indication
Strepsils Cool lozenges contain two antiseptic agents (2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmetacresol) with menthol for cooling effect. Used for symptomatic relief of sore throat, mouth infections, and throat irritation. They have antibacterial and mild antiviral properties.
Ingredients

- Dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg
- Amylmetacresol 0.6 mg
Direction
Adults and children over 6 years: Dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2β3 hours as needed. Do not exceed 12 lozenges in 24 hours.
Side effects
- Mild mouth or tongue irritation.
- Allergic reactions (rare).
Precautions
- Not recommended for children under 6 years.
- Contains sugar β caution in patients with diabetes.
- Consult a doctor if sore throat is severe
- persists for more than 3 days
- or is accompanied by fever
- headache
- rash
- or nausea.
- Keep out of reach of children.
