Bedelix 3g, 30 sachets

Indication

Bedelix (Diosmectite 3 g sachets) is an intestinal adsorbent used to treat acute and chronic diarrhoea in adults and children, including diarrhoea associated with gastroenteritis. It acts by coating and protecting the intestinal mucosa and adsorbing toxins and pathogens.

Ingredients

• Smectite (diosmectite) 3 g per sachet

Direction

Adults: 1 sachet dissolved in half a glass of water 3 times daily. Children (1–2 years): 1–2 sachets daily; children over 2 years: 2–3 sachets daily. Dissolve each sachet in water before taking. Take between meals. Duration as directed by physician.

Side effects

• Constipation (usually mild and transient).
• Nausea (uncommon).

Precautions

• Take at least 2 hours apart from other oral medications
• as smectite may reduce their absorption.
• If diarrhoea is severe
• prolonged
• or accompanied by fever or blood
• seek medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
