Dompel Tablets 10mg

Indication

Dompel Tablets (Domperidone 10 mg) is a dopamine antagonist used as an antiemetic and prokinetic agent for relief of nausea, vomiting, bloating, and delayed gastric emptying.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 10 mg

Direction

Adults: 10 mg up to three times daily, taken 15–30 minutes before meals. Maximum dose: 30 mg per day. Do not exceed 10 days of treatment.

Side effects

• Dry mouth
• headache.
• Raised prolactin: galactorrhoea
• gynaecomastia
• menstrual irregularities.
• Rare: extrapyramidal reactions.
• Rare: serious cardiac arrhythmias.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment.
• Contraindicated in prolactinoma.
• Risk of QT prolongation
• avoid in cardiac patients or with QT
• prolonging drugs.
• Avoid in gastrointestinal obstruction or perforation.
• Avoid concurrent use with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole).
