Flemex Kids Carbocysteine 60ml

Indication

Flemex Kids Carbocysteine Syrup is a mucolytic agent used to reduce the viscosity of mucus secretions and facilitate expectoration in respiratory conditions such as chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and other conditions associated with excessive or viscous mucus.

Ingredients

• Carbocisteine (Carbocysteine) 125 mg per 5 ml

Direction

Children 2–5 years: 2.5 ml (62.5 mg) three times daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 ml (125 mg) four times daily. For short-term use; follow prescriber's instructions. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Nausea

• Diarrhoea.
• Rare: skin rash or allergic reactions.
• Gastrointestinal bleeding (rare
• particularly in patients with history of peptic ulcer).

Precautions

• Contraindicated in active peptic ulcer disease.
• Use with caution in children under 2 years — only under medical supervision.
• Not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy.
• May interact with antitussives (cough suppressants) — use caution when combining.
